AWS/ASME: A5.9 ER385

JACKSUN NOVA 385 is a stainless steel solid wire designed for MIG (GMAW) and TIG (GTAW) welding. It is the recommended filler metal for welding alloy 904L and similar high-alloy austenitic stainless steels.

  • Excellent resistance to corrosion in strong oxidizing and reducing acid solutions (such as sulfuric and phosphoric acid).
  • High resistance to pitting, stress corrosion cracking, and intergranular corrosion.
  • Produces weld deposits with good toughness and ductility.
  • Suitable for welding dissimilar stainless steels and as a buffer layer.
