AWS A5.4 E309Mo-16

JACKSUN NOVA 309Mo is a rutile-coated stainless steel electrode conforming to AWS A5.4 E309Mo-16. It is designed for welding dissimilar steels (carbon steel/low alloy steels to stainless steels) and stainless steel overlays where molybdenum addition is beneficial. The presence of Mo (2.0–3.0%) enhances resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking, particularly in chloride-containing environments. Typical applications include buffer layers, transition joints, and surfacing in chemical, petrochemical, and marine industries.
