AWS A5.4: E309MoL-16

JACKSUN NOVA 309MoL is a rutile-coated stainless steel electrode conforming to AWS A5.4 E309MoL-16 and EN ISO 3581-A E 23 12 2 LR 12.

  • Designed for dissimilar welding of carbon steels/low alloy steels to stainless steels, buffer layers, and stainless cladding.
  • Molybdenum (2–3%) improves resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking, especially in chloride environments.
  • Low carbon (L grade) ensures resistance against intergranular carbide precipitation, maintaining corrosion resistance at high service temperatures.
  • Smooth arc, easy slag removal, and excellent bead finish.
